YOU don’t have to be a marketing genius of Steve Jobs magnitude to dream up a better name for Rugby Europe’s annual championship than – wait for it - the “Rugby Europe Championship”. Why not the “Eight Nations”?
Even if the arch-protectionists of the Six Nations threatened to sue on copyright grounds, the continent’s second-tier countries would at least generate some headlines. Which is more than they’re likely to achieve as things stand.
