Welsh clubs in the Prem? Rowe has a point

EXETER chairman Tony Rowe has called for talks aimed at inviting Welsh teams into a 14-club English Premiership. He is the first English club owner to do so since the Tewkesbury Summit almost 30 years ago when the WRU’s lack of foresight led them to reject the RFU’s generous offer of five places in their domestic league.
Rowe, the driving force behind the Chiefs’ rise from the fourth division to champions of Europe, makes the case for the admission of two Welsh contenders based on pragmatic grounds.
