Vasil pips North to the fastest Test 50

THERE was a notable if sparsely applauded achievement in Tbilisi last week when Georgia scrum-half Vasil Lobzhanidze became the youngest player in Test history to reach to the 50 senior caps milestone.
The fiery Lobzhanidze, below, who plays his rugby in Brive, reached the landmark at the age of 23 years and 110 days in the Lelos’ 41-13 win over Romania, a nice feather in his cap beating George North by 28 days.
