Tigers set to pounce for Falcons 15 Hammersley

LEICESTER Tigers are keeping tabs on Newcastle Falcons full-back Simon Hammersley, who could leave the club this summer.
Hammersley penned a new twoyear contract with the Falcons in January but the Tigers are interested in him with the Falcons set for life in the Championship.
The England Saxons international has played over 100 times for the Falcons after starting his career with his home town club Hull Ionians.
A sticking point to him moving to Welford Road, however, could be wage demands, which Blindside has been told are around £250,000 a year.
