Wilkinson shortlisted for ERC Player of the Year

Jonny Wilkinson has been named in a five-man shortlist for the ERC Player of the Year award.
The World Cup winning Toulon captain has been instrumental in leading ‘Les Rouges and Noirs’ to their first Heineken Cup final in Dublin tomorrow.
Their opponents Clermont provide three men to the shortlist with flanker Julien Bonnaire and flyers Weslet Fofana and Sitiveni Sivivatu alongside Wilkinson to pick up the coveted trophy.
The shortlist is completed by Leinster and Ireland captain Jamie Heaslip whose form could lead the Irish giants to pick up their fourth European crown in as many seasons. They face Stade Francais tonight in the Amlin Challenge Cup final in front of their home fans at the RDS.
