Nick Cain: Lions levy hits their own fans

The latest twist in the Lions Test ticket story is that the Australian Rugby Union has refuted the statement from a senior Lions administrator that they have charged Lions Ltd £200 per ticket for the bulk of their 8,000 allocation for the 2013 tour.
Matt Carroll, the ARU’s deputy chief executive, told me this week: “Under the tour agreement we provide a set number of tickets and hospitality at face value.
