Three more years at Kingsholm for Savage

After Jonny May yesterday, Tom Savage has become the latest player to commit his future to Gloucester signing a new three-year contract Witt the Cherry and Whites.
Savage has been one of the real success stories of the past two seasons for Gloucester in a similar way as Exeter and England flanker Tom Johnson.
The 23-year-old came to Gloucester’s attention when he skippered Hartpury RFC two years ago aged only 21.
The Rugby World Cup last year gave him an opportunity to taste first team action quicker than he may have originally expected, but he seized the chance with both hands and went on to make 12 starts.
He has since become a regular in the starting line up, whether at blindside or lock.
Director of Rugby Nigel Davies said: “Tom’s proof that you don’t necessarily need to have been capped at U18 or U20 level, or come through an Academy, to make it to first team level.
“He’s got real talent, but he allies that with hard work, a genuine desire to continually improve his game and a willingness to play wherever the team need him to.
“I can’t speak highly enough of his attitude and his performances this season. He’s become an integral part of the squad and his new contract is a reflection of that.
“I’m very happy that Tom will be a part of what we’re looking to achieve here at Gloucester Rugby over the next few seasons.”
