BUCS chief executive Will Roberts believes a landmark new broadcast deal can help transform Super Rugby into a competition followed far beyond university campuses.
Every men’s and women’s BUCS Super Rugby fixture will be streamed live by Clubber TV this season under a new three-year agreement, a considerable increase from around 20 per cent of matches being shown last term.
And Roberts feels increased visibility can showcase both the quality of the rugby and the competition’s growing importance as a pathway into the professional game.
