The Northampton Saints are on the hunt for back-to-back titles as a new season nears.
The squad is full of talent and looking to perform at the top level once again. With depth and talent, they are an exciting team.
There is no reason why they shouldn’t have title aspirations, and the bookmakers agree.

Last season
Last season, Northampton were an amazing scoring team and were in the mix.
The side finished at the top of the table with 74 points. Saints secured 14 wins, one draw, and three losses.
They amassed 693 points but conceded 536. Holding their nerve in the play-offs, Northampton secured the title.
This proves they are one of the more consistent teams in the Prem in recent years.
With an abundance of talent at their disposal, they will look to do the same, as many players will be looking to make an impact.

Key players
At the heart of their attacking firepower is Tommy Freeman, whose 18 tries, 1,240 metres, 37 line breaks and 55 defenders beaten underline just how destructive he can be.
George Hendy adds another dangerous dimension, recording 12 tries, 1,020 metres, 24 line breaks and 50 defenders beaten.
Of course, it’s hard to talk about Northampton without Henry Pollock.
The superstar has made a monumental impact on rugby as a whole. He made 844 metres off 174 carries, while also beating 47 defenders and producing 14 turnovers.
The half-back pairing of Alex Mitchell and Finn Smith is arguably the best in the league.
Mitchell made 15 try assists and 711 successful passes. Smith tallied 157 points and 15 assists. Archie McParland proved he can perform when called upon.
Callum Chick has made a massive impact since arriving from Newcastle, making 190 carries and 156 tackles.
Tom Pearson and Alex Coles were also steadfast in defence.
Can Saints survive without George Furbank?
George Furbank will be running out at the Stoop this season.
The Saints have depth at full-back with Freeman and Hendy. The two players can produce fireworks on the pitch and can put up good numbers.
The question is how the Saints can fill that second playmaker role.
On paper, the squad looks to have enough talent to deal with the departure.
However, it will be fascinating to see how the team deals with the absence of a consistent presence.
The odds
According to the odds, Saints are clear favourites, sitting at 23/10, just behind Bath at 9/5.
There is no doubt they have the talent, and it will be interesting to see if they can run it back.
There is plenty to admire about this Saints side, from their attacking quality to the talent running throughout the squad.
The potential is undoubtedly there, and it will be fascinating to see what they can produce as another exciting season unfolds.
