WILL Jordan and Cam Roigard both scored twice as New Zealand opened the inaugural Nations Championship with a thrilling victory over France in Christchurch.
The All Blacks gave new head coach Dave Rennie a winning start at a sold-out Te Kaha Stadium, but they were pushed all the way by a France side missing Antoine Dupont and Louis Bielle-Biarrey.
