Wales v Argentina teams

Ospreys tight-head Aaron Jarvis will make his Wales debut when he lines up against Argentina on Saturday as Mike Phillips and Dan Biggar are both dropped by interim head coach Rob Howley.
British and Irish Lion Phillips sees Scarlets Tavis Knoyle starting ahead of him but, if the Bayonne scrum-half gets to sit on the bench, Biggar is not even in the matchday squad as Rhys Priestland starts and Perpignan based James Hook has been named on the bench.
Despite disciplinary problems, Phillips has been in good form in recent weeks while Dan Biggar has been pulling the strings at Ospreys and looked to be back to his 2010 form.
Exeter born Jarvis comes in for teammate Adam Jones who suffered a knee injury in the Ospreys clash against Leicester at Welford Road three weeks ago.
In the other notable selection, Scarlets flanker Josh Turnbull gets the nod at blindside with both Dan Lydiate and Ryan Jones sidelined while Gethin Jenkins starts in the front-row alongside Matthew Rees and Jarvis. In the centres, Jonathan Davies is out injured so Scott Williams partners Jamie Roberts in the midfield.
Howley said: “One or two injuries have forced our hands in certain areas in terms of selection. But the fact that we are still able to field a side packed with Grand Slam experience shows that we have been able to develop some depth in recent years.
“There are obvious opportunities for the likes of Aaron, Tavis and Josh to pull on the jersey against Argentina and try to make it their own. We all know how important a good start against the Pumas will be to our November series. They arrive battle-hardened after a tough Rugby Championship campaign.
“They will be looking to silence the Millennium Stadium crowd from the outset and we know we can’t afford to let that happen, with a successful campaign this autumn vital to our ambitions for the future.”
Argentina, although winless in their recent outings, should feel confident after a spirited and generally competitive debut in the Rugby Championship against the world’s top three sides.
There are five changes to the Pumas backline that lost to Australia last time out.
Nicolas Sanchez comes in at fly-half which means Juan Martin Hernandez switches to the No.15 jersey.
Juan Imhoff starts ahead of Horacio Agulla and Gonzalo Tiesi gets the nod in midfield alongside the experienced Felipe Contepomi who returns to the team.
After Rodrigo Roncero finally decided to hang up his boots Marcos Ayerza takes his place in the front row with Julio Farias Cabello starting at lock after playing at blindside last time which means there’s a place for Leonardo Senatore in the back-row.
