MERTHYR have retained the Welsh Premiership title after yesterday’s 26-18 bonus-point victory at Bargoed.
The Ironmen knew securing maximum points at Bargoed Park would seal the deal. And tries from wing Jack Kathrens, skipper Paddy McBride, hooker Ellis Shipp and prop Rhys Lewis ensured the trophy would be staying at The Wern. Jacob Lloyd ended with three successful conversions.
