Henry Slade hopes England coach Steve Borthwick will return to his tried and tested midfield partnership this summer to give the Exeter Chiefs centre a chance to stake his claim and add to his 74 Test caps.
The 33-year-old did not feature during the Six Nations and played only once in the autumn, scoring a try in England’s victory over Argentina.
He has been in regular contact with Borthwick and is confident his form for high-flying Exeter can put him back in the picture.
Slade is one of Exeter’s two centrally-contracted England players alongside winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso.
