Brunel in charge as they prove too good for Cardiff

DEFENDING Women’s BSR champions Cardiff Met have been dumped out of the Cup Championship by debutants Brunel after a 36-26 loss.
Saran Griffiths opened the scoring inside 15 minutes skipping outside tackles in the red zone but Lauren Casson charged from the halfway line to equalise in the first quarter.
Met No 8 Maddie Hughes dug over however former England U18 captain and Brunel hooker Hayley Jones cut a rapid line through the defence across 55 metres to level into the break.
