Hearts pound in Clifton following Stirling’s saving

WITH THE clock in the red, a monumental effort saw Ollie Stirling score a late Clifton-try to snatch the win from Dings Crusaders.
Just before Stirling’s score and trailing by three points, Clifton had in fact declined a penalty-kick at goal to draw the game. A decision made by director of rugby Matt Salter and one that ultimately paid off.
As the second-half progressed, Clifton gained possession and reduced their error count which had coughed up too many penalties in the opening phases.
