Scotland’s firefighter to retire

HARLEQUINS captain Jade Konkel will end her playing career at the of the season. The 32-year-old back row – who won 74 caps for Scotland – made history in 2016 when she became the first woman to sign a professional contract with Scottish Rugby.
She made her Scotland debut age 19 against England in the 2013 Six Nations and retired from international duty after the 2025 World Cup.
