STYLISH SALE hit Clifton with nine tries, as their visitors faced a constant uphill climb with both at-tack and defence sloping to the hosts’ clear advantage.
The game started brightly for the home side, as vibrant attacking rugby saw the ball moved wide, as winger Nev Edwards scored inside the first six minutes.
Sale lost Evan Mintern to a yellow card for a high tackle only a minute later but, despite some quick hands in the backs, the visitors were unable to take advantage.
