KIERAN Tyrer kept his nerve with two second-half penalties as Rossendale edged a tight, nervy affair against relegation rivals Scunthorpe.
In a game which neither team could afford to lose, Rossendale just about shaded the contest, playing the heavy conditions better.
In fairness, Scunthorpe created the better opportunities, but they played with a desperation which saw the final pass missing its mark.
