Brecon boys off the mark – at 11th attempt! Premiership round-up

BASEMENT boys Brecon recorded their first win of the season in the Welsh Premiership – at the 11th time of asking – with a 17-13 defeat of Cross Keys at Parc de Pugh.
Wing Huw Jones and full-back Jake Newman were the Brecon tryscorers, both converted by Rhys Davies, who also kicked a penalty.
It finally ended a run of 10 straight defeats from the start of the season for Brecon, but they still remain 14 points from safety.
Max Heathman scored the Keys try. Josh Malson converted and sent over two penalties.
