Despite being the son of Bath stalwart Stuart, Max Hooper took longer than expected to begin his rugby journey but now hopes to develop into a world class flyhalf. Hooper’s father made 177 appearances for the club from 2008-16 and was director of rugby from 2019-22 – but his son looked set to opt for football until he was 13.
