REPORTS that England’s senior coaching staff met up with their cricketing counterparts before their match against Australia is the kind of forward thinking that will surely benefit Steve Borthwick’s men.
New Zealander Brendon McCullum has instilled a fearless brand of cricket since taking charge of England and that is just the approach I would recommend for the increasingly adventurous Borthwick. After all, the mental side of the game – any game – is vital.
