Worcester Warriors right to ensure claims are legitimate

I was bemused to read Nick Cain’s comments last week regarding Worcester Warriors’ payments to rugby creditors.
The RFU have insisted that Worcester settle all outstanding debts with its ‘rugby creditors,’ the RFU’s definition of which I have not been able to find, but I understand that it refers to ex-players, staff, agents, and other clubs.
Worcester have been working through the claims that they have received, but of course the club needs to satisfy itself that every claim received is a genuine and accurate one.
