Ireland prop Andrew Porter is still sporting old school bloodied ears and has been banned by wife Elaine from having white bed linen in case their home ends up looking like a horror movie scene.
The war wounds never heal, and his better half has put her foot down.
Porter said: “They’re cut all year round now. I can’t have white pillowcases at home anymore because it looks like Texas Chainsaw Massacre after I wake up in the morning. We have to have black. You can’t see anything on them it is probably disgusting though.”
