I was born in Gloucester and grew up in Coney Hill, only a couple of miles away from Kingsholm.
As a kid everybody wanted Gloucester to do well and playing for them was always something that you wanted to achieve and I was fortunate to be able to do that throughout most of the 80s and for a short spell in the 90s.
It was a time when the local rugby scene was very strong with several good clubs in the area and I started out with Coney Hill when I was 16.
