OAs made to work hard for tough win

OAs came out on top in a tight game with strong defence from both sides.
The hosts were fast out of the blocks, and several phases of possession saw Barnaby Merrett burrow over for the first score. Greg Lound converted.
Alex Noot was next to score with a quickly taken tap penalty, Lound again adding the extras.
Colchester were very much in the game and scored a nice try from a lineout after moving the ball through the backs, ending with centre Will Blakemore scoring under the posts. Gabe Jones converted.
