Saitama Wild Knights continued their unbeaten run to secure a place in the Division One final, while Division Two winners Urayasu D-Rocks took a big step towards promotion.
Having won all 16 of their league games, Wild Knights were pushed far closer than they might have expected by the Canon Eagles, with Damian De Allende’s 60th minute winner ensuring a 20-17 victory, making it just the second time a team has finished within a score of them since their play-off final loss last season.
