Dorking back on track in top win

DORKING returned to winning ways as they ran in seven tries to Canterbury's three, in a game inspired by Daragh Chambers.

Canterbury were first to score with a Frank Reynolds penalty.

But the hosts were quick to respond with two tries from Fraser Mosley and Jonny Ellis, before the visitors struck back through Cameron Murray.

Dorking then ran in two further tries through Will Sanders and Jasper King as they took control of the game to end the half 22-8 ahead.

With the majority of territory and possession, tied with a couple of yellow cards for the visitors, Dorking extended their lead in the second half with three further tries from George Jackson, Tom Howe and Finn Osborne and a penalty and conversion from Henry Anscombe to take a comfortable 42-8 lead in to the final quarter.

Two yellow cards in quick succession then left them short of cover, and Canterbury hit back with a penalty try and a well-worked backs try out wide for Nathan Morris.

With Reynolds' conversion made there was just time for Dorking to mount a further attack, and, despite touching down, Howe was called back for a knock on and the final whistle.
