Wagstaff treble proves in vain for visitors

WESTCOMBE hooker Taine Wagstaff scored a hat-trick for his side, but it was still not enough to beat Barnes.
The visitors were first to score with a try in the corner to Wagstaff, with Nathan Wyman adding the extras.
After a lack-lustre 20 minutes, Barnes started to spread it wide to allow James Gallagher to dot down.
On the stroke of halftime, Barnes fly-half Thomas Wilstead slotted a penalty to give the hosts an 8-7 halftime lead.
