Garry Law's side ran in four tries to take maximum points, with a late Harry Yates score making a 20m break off tage, kickdenying the visitors a losing bonus point.

Mowden made a bright start, and Sale were shown yellow early when Stone Priestley-Nangle was sin-binned for a deliberate knock-on. Law slotted over the resulting penalty, before Ben Frankland powered over from close range just a few minutes later.

Law converted, before Sale halved the deficit through Ted Stagg off the back of a driving maul.

Yates then dived over in the final play of the half after a long pass from Joe Craggs.

The visitors started the second half strongly, and narrowed the gap to three when Tristan Woodman dotted down from another strong driving maul. The next score would prove crucial, and itfor Mowden DARLINGTON went to the home side when Frankland stepped through the away defence to dive over. Law's conversion restored the 10-point lead.

Both sides were then shown yellow as Stagg and Drew Davison were sent to the bin.

Tom Parkin darted over with five minutes left to set up a grandstand finish, but Yates powered over with the final play of the game to round off a bonus-point win for the hosts.
