Johnny should be OK by 2051

Sean Fitzpatrick, suitably jubilant over the All Blacks’ gigantic win over Ireland, offered Johnny Sexton some sobering advice on how long it takes to recover from a last shot at the World Cup.
“We lost the final in 1995 (to South Africa in Johannesburg),’’ he told ITV. “I’m only just getting over it….”
If Sexton, below, takes as long as Fitzpatrick, he ought to have got over it by 2051. The Irish veteran is the eighth player to have captained his country at World Cups ending in the last eight since Donal Lenihan’s team lost the first one, to Australia in Sydney in 1987.
