THEY might have been training at an elite athletic venue, but England’s timekeeping has again been way short of Olympic standard. They were over an hour late for their team announcement on Thursday having been even longer delayed for Tuesday’s media session where defence coach Kevin Sinfield told the press to blame Steve Borthwick, half in jest. By contrast South Africa started their team announcement on Thursday 10 minutes early after checking everyone was there for the 9am kick off.
