LEAGUE newcomers Camborne offered up a strong account against Crusaders, giving a 500-strong crowd at Cranberry Road belief that they will be a force this season.
For the most part this was a fairly even contest, with last year’s high-flyers owing plenty to the kicking prowess of Jacob Perry, whose work from the tee was ultimately decisive.
Alex Bilton got the Crusaders up and running with a try, but Camborne’s retort was quick, their first touchdown back in the National League scored by Alex Ducker.
