Gritty Dorking see off Raiders threat

Dorking held firm to take the honours in a tightly-contested game against Guernsey at The Big Field.
Having gone seven points up with a try by captain Fred Dalton in the first minute, converted by Henry Anscombe, Dorking were brought back down to earth as Raiders hooker Dan Morgan crashed over in a driving maul immediately from the restart.
With fly-half Charlie Davies adding the extras, the scores were even and, despite endto-end moves from both sides, that’s how the score remained at halftime.
