DORSET and Wilts thrashed East Counties, in the Royal Wootton Bassett, to pick up a first-day victory, with full-back Dan Hale scoring an incredible solo try.
With the game already settled, Hale picked up the ball in his own half and skipped past a few tackles to complete a memorable try.
It was the last try of the game, as Dorset and Wilts were on top from start to finish.
They opened the afternoon’s scoring through Gareth Davies, but Mike Pope failed to build on the lead with two extra points.
