INJURY-HIT Rotherham dug deep to see off a lively Chester team who made them work hard to maintain their 100 per cent home record.
Trailing 28-8 at halftime, the visitors ran in three second-half tries to keep the contest alive before time ran out on them.
Rotherham’s pack was missing six key players to injury and their flat start was punished by a Liam Reeve penalty and a try from Kier Gordon from a Chester team chasing a fourth straight win.
