Davies brothers help get Newbridge off to flyer

THE Davies brothers combined to give Newbridge a flying start in Round 1 of the main competition in the WRU Plate as they both scored tries in a 34-13 home win over Mountain Ash.
Matthew and Dan Davies joined Stuart Vokes, Jakob Duffy and Mike Preece in securing a bonus-point victory. Eamon Rees converted three of the five tries and also added a penalty, while the visitors had tries from Curtis Williams and Ewan Rees and a penalty from Callum Hall.
