SHAE Nixon’s second-half hat-trick for Hinckley proved to be in vain as Henley Hawks held on for a narrow win.
Henley led 26-6 eight minutes after the interval and could only add a penalty as Nixon threatened to turn the game on its head. However, a late missed penalty saw the hosts come up short.
Hinckley had a nightmare start when an offside from the first clearance kick led to a five-metre line-out and a try from the Henley pack.
