HENLEY Hawks spoiled the party as Jake Murphy’s 100th appearance for Barnstaple ended in a comprehensive defeat.
Wet and windy conditions made attacking rugby extremely difficult, meaning that defences dominated.
For the first 30 minutes, neither team was able to maintain any kind of sustained attack, stalled by unforced errors and penalties.
