IN regards to headdresses, Nick Cain fails to note important points about the wearing of them, and why it can be innacurate and hurtful.
He fails to recognise that there are over 500 tribes in the US and that wearing one merges them all into one stereotype while ignoring the differences between the indigenous peoples. He does not mention that the wearing of this by non-Native Americans as a form of dress up disrespects the sacred significance and as such all meaning in the head-dress is lost.
