ALEX Sanderson is calling off the search for a replacement scrum-half in the absence of Faf de Klerk and is set to give extended runs to Guss Warr and Nye Thomas.
Sanderson has revealed that the experienced Will Cliff is close to returning to action after injury but plans to revisit the situation if Raffi Quirke is involved in the Six Nations.
The Sharks have two Premiership Cup games next month against Leicester Tigers and Newcastle Falcons when Sanderson plans to give homegrown youngster Thomas a good look.
