Ealing are still team to beat say Pirates

EALING are still red-hot favourites to win the Championship title despite their shock 15-12 defeat to Cornish Pirates last Sunday.
That is the verdict of Pirates joint head coaches Alan Paver and Gavin Cattle whose side produced another battling display reminiscent of their epic 25-17 humbling of fallen giants Saracens on the opening day of last season.
Ealing had hammered Hartpury 54-20 on the opening weekend and, after the Pirates then slumped to a 37-18 defeat at Hartpury, Trailfinders’ trip to the Mennaye Field looked a banker win.
