Howley’s challenge

HOW good it is to see Rob Howley back in rugby after his nine-month ban for betting violations. The sport has had its share of wrong ‘uns, some of them in extremely influential roles, but the former Wales coach is not, and never has been, among them.
His new role in the Canadian international set-up will be challenging indeed: the 1991 World Cup quarter-finalists have fallen to 23rd in the Test rankings, below Portugal and Hong Kong.
If Howley and his countryman Kingsley Jones can drag their charges back up the mountainside, they will do everyone a favour. Not least Argentina, Uruguay...
