Johnson urges against banning rugby anthem

PRIME Minister Boris Johnson does not think Swing Low, Sweet Chariot should be banned after the RFU announced it would review its use.
The RFU said many people were not aware of the song’s links with slavery but the PM said: “I think what people need to do is focus less on the symbols of discrimination… I want to focus on the substance of the issue.” He added that he “didn’t think there should be any sort of prohibition” on singing the song.
