HULL Ionians suffered another heavy defeat at the hands of Chinnor but put in an improved firsthalf performance before running out of stream.
With more good luck than management, Ionians had a 7 -0 lead after half an hour, courtesy of a Jack Colbourne interception try.
But despite a stuttering performance Chinnor had too much power and by the break had secured a 21-7 lead, capitalising on some wayward passing from the hosts.
