Unfair endurance test

THE date of the Bill Beaumont Cup final is linked with the England XV v Barbarians game on June 21.
This will mean that any county reaching the final will have players staying match conditioned until a month after the Pool stages finish – well over two months since club league seasons have finished – and probably a week before the lucky finalists go back into their clubs’ pre-season.
