JAPAN overpowered the United States to win the tournament and deliver a statement of intent six weeks out from hosting the World Cup. Captain Michael Leitch scored a try in each half, with winger Kenki Fukuoka and full-back Ryohei Yamanaka also crossing in the shootout for the title against the previously unbeaten Eagles.
