Ampthill keep on recruiting with scrum-half Darryl

AMPTHILL have pulled off another transfer coup after snaffling experienced scrum-half Darryl Veenendaal from Championship rivals Nottingham.
Veenendaal has accepted a player/backs coach role with the Tier Two newcomers, who last week signed ex-Harlequins hooker Dave Ward.
Veenendaal, 29, spent five years at Bedford before joining Nottingham in 2015 and will now compete with Kevin Barrett and Gavin Williams for the No.9 jersey.
