Rodwell to call time on 7s career

JAMES Rodwell, the most capped Sevens player of all time, will retire at the end of the season.
In January Rodwell broke the World Series appearance record by playing his 90th tournament in Hamilton, overtaking New Zealand’s DJ Forbes. He also has the record for playing in 69 consecutive tournaments.
Rodwell, who was pivotal to Team GB’s silver medal at the Rio Olympics, said: “It’s been an amazing journey from when I started playing Sevens – I’d never have imagined that I’d pull on an England jersey this many times.
