Kerr seals fifth place finish after Argentina heartache

LAS VEGAS SEVENS
ENGLAND bounced back from a Cup quarter-final defeat to Argentina in extra-time to see off Australia and Fiji and claim fifth place at the Las Vegas Sevens, as hosts USA lifted the title for the second consecutive year.
Early sin-bins to Will Muir and Richard de Carpentier affected England’s ability to assert themselves in the first half, with Los Pumas taking a 14-7 lead into the break. Tom Bowen then drew England back into the contest by first setting up Ryan Olowofela to score before dotting down himself to take the match to extratime at 21-21.
