BIRMINGHAM & Solihull Bees threw themselves a relegation lifeline at the expense of fellow strugglers Geese with a convincing five-try success at Portway.
The Geese produced a dogged defensive display in the opening quarter but finally cracked on 17 minutes when Dan Kelly forced his way over for the opening try.
Credit to Geese, who rapidly hit back when the ball was flung wide for inside centre Sean Cunningham to score and fly-half James Brookes converted to level at 7-7.
But Bees held the upper hand and bagged two more tries ...
